But then again, my original devd.conf fix didn't quite work either. I had restarted devd from within a shell within X, so it was picking up my DISPLAY environment variable. After a reboot, that fix no longer worked. I had to change it to: devd.conf: notify 10 { match "system" "ACPI"; match "subsystem" "Lid"; action "/usr/X11R6/bin/xrandr -display :0.0 -s 0"; }; And that works perfectly for me. > http://www.iosn.net/Members/kaeru/articles/freebsd/x40 I've actually seen your website before when doing research before buying this laptop. Thanks for putting all that information up. It was part of why I decided to forge ahead with buying something so new. I think you and I have slightly different laptops though; my onboard wireless card is an Atheron. -Snow
