The talk of enabling secure mode brings up a question - secure mode is
all fine and good, but it appears to require single-user to rotate
log files. That is not really acceptable for a busy system - what do
the berkeley folks do about that?

Given a solution to that, I'd use secure mode on my gateway (once it
is on 2.x), for one.
