As a result of the number of such queries that come across the -questions
list, I think this merits an FAQ:
What are the differences between FreeBSD and other free UNIXs, especially
Linux?
I have a page with various answers to this basic question polled over time
from the various lists. The URL is:
http://keystone.westminster.edu/~fullermd/bsdvlin.htm
Perhaps a small blurb under the What is FreeBSD question concerning
differences, with a link to the above page?
Or perhaps even a seperate FAQ.
I make no guaruntees about the accuracy of the information posted on this
page; I just picked the answers that were more discussions of the
difference, rather that 'we're better because they suck' and related
flames.

Do with as you like.
