https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D204989 Bug ID: 204989 Summary: java/openjsk8: jps in openjdk8 or javavmwrapper conflicts with sysutils/jps in /usr/local/bin/jps Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: dch@skunkwerks.at CC: pavel@ext.by CC: pavel@ext.by Flags: maintainer-feedback?(pavel@ext.by) openjdk8 (or possibly javavmwrapper) has a softlinked /usr/local/bin/jps to /usr/local/bin/javavm which appears to be unknown to pkg: =E2=9D=AFsudo pkg install -y openjdk8-8.60.24 .... =E2=9D=AFpkg which /usr/local/bin/jps /usr/local/bin/jps was not found in the database =E2=9D=AFwhich jps /usr/local/bin/jps =E2=9D=AFl /usr/local/bin/jps lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 21B Dec 3 09:46 /usr/local/bin/jps@ -> /usr/local/bin/javavm This conflicts when installing sysutils/jps. BTW should pkg complain when it overwrites an existing file silently, even = if it's not somehow in the pkg database? This is actually what happened that caused me to dig into this. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
