https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=201305 Bug ID: 201305 Summary: mail/mutt14: [patch] lock error: mutt_dotlock needs group "mail" Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Keywords: patch Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: Lena@lena.kiev.ua CC: Udo.Schweigert@siemens.com CC: Udo.Schweigert@siemens.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(Udo.Schweigert@siemens.com) Keywords: patch Created attachment 158292 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=158292&action=edit patch: /usr/local/bin/mutt_dotlock setgid mail Because of FreeBSD 8 EOL, I upgraded to 10 and recompiled ports. The mail/mutt14 port stopped to work: fetch-mail gave an error message, something like "cannot lock /var/mail/lena". In order to create a lock file in /var/mail, the /usr/local/bin/mutt_dotlock binary needs to be setgid, group "mail". The error is because mutt_dotlock has group "wheel" instead of "mail". Before the recompile mutt_dotlock had group "mail", I checked in a backup. The mail/mutt14 port needs group "mail" specified in pkg-plist, like the mail/mutt port. Patch attached. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
