: What you count as "prior releases" is ONLY ONE INTERIM RELEASE: : 2.0.5! 8859-1 locale isn't supported in 2.0 yet. 2.0.5 not treated : as full release, it is only short term solution, so please stop : talking about "prior releases" and of incredible amount of their : users who wants backward compatibility. 2.0.5 is a release. It walks like a release, talks like a release, installs off a CD rom like a release. It is a release. Compatibility with it must be maintained, imho. If I upgrade from that to 2.1, and things break, I'm going to be very upset. I doubt I'll be alone. Every other FreeBSD upgrade has just worked. 1.0 -> 1.1 -> 1.1.5 -> 2.0 -> 2.0.5. (well, modulo the flock problems that were acknowledged as a bug). It is my expectation as a user that the 2.0.5 -> 2.1 release will go the same way. Warner
