Dont quote me..I belive I was speaking to Rod Grimes a number of years ago when 2.2.x was a relevent OS level, and there was some talk about how Adp. changed the cards enough that they didnt work so well. I swithched to the 3940 cards at that time, (ya costs more, but I could get 2x the storage on the box with more performance) and that fixed me up without an OS upgrade. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jakob Alvermark" <jakob@teligent.se> To: <scsi@FreeBSD.ORG> Sent: Sunday, February 06, 2000 11:02 PM Subject: Re: Problems with Adaptec card and FreeBSD 2.2.2 (fwd) > Maybe someone on this list can help me with this problem? > > There are two different card models, "2940 UW" and "2944 AU". > And I know that 2.2.2 is quite old, but we can't just reinstall all the > machines in a snap.
