Don't know about a 2424; the 5424 should work though the driver may need 
a workaround for a pci-express reset issue.  Did you swap this card in 
or did it come from dell?  I've been slow to get up to speed on the 
pci-express parts but they definitely work with the hal in cvs.

I'll check.
