Example: # mdconfig -a -t vnode -u 0 -f something.iso # mount -o ro -t cd9660 /dev/md0 /mnt ... # umount /mnt # mdconfig -d -u 0 By the way, the Midnight Commander can "open" an .iso image like a directory (or an archive), and you can use it to navigate inside the file.
