Which, if either, of > these two files is my “XF86Config” file that I modify to add fonts, > configure my mouse, etc.? find / -name "*xorg.conf*" If you follow the setup directions in the Handbook: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/x-config.html then (after a couple of hops and skips) you will end up with /etc/X11/xorg.conf It's pretty straightforward. Be sure to tune your HorizSync and VertRefresh attributes accordingly, and your Screen section.
