I have tried make --rebuilddb install and all possible combinations. I went into the directory where packages.rpm is and tries doing a rpm --rebuilddb packages.rpm I see a few other people on the list have had the same problem, and not gotten responses. Maybe I have to go to more drastic measures... deinstalling & reinstalling the whole linux-base? (could I do that without disturbing other linux applications on the machine? Maybe I have to rebuild the ports? I'm using; 4.3-STABLE Any pointers would be helpful.
