And it's guaranteed that three years from now wcarchive will still
have the PRECISE bits that were used to generate the binary in
question?  See clause 3 of GPLv2.  Note that the escape clause at the
end of clause 3 helps you but not me.

If it's any consolation, I don't think clause 3 is likely to be
enforced against me or anyone else, but I'd prefer to be able to obey
the terms of the license to the letter.
