You only added this hint, nothing more? The only solution I found was to plug-in a PS/2 mouse to have a "working" touchpad. For information I use a DELL Inspiron 4150. Hmm I have a doubt, are these "changes" in RELENG_5? I did not checked, but I wish/hope RELENG_5 is "sypnaptic safe". Marc
