Loading the realtek driver from the package repo fixes the watchdog issue:

pkg install realtek-re-kmod

Add to /boot/loader.conf.local:

if_re_load=3D"YES"
if_re_name=3D"/boot/modules/if_re.ko"


The NICs are stable on freebsd 12.2 for me, but I can't get more than ~800M=
bps
out of them.

There is a second, performance impacting issue with the driver but I will t=
ake
a stable 800Mbps which is what it can do with 1.96.04.

Tests were run using iperf3 to a local machine.
