That could be the problem. I used "pkg_add ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages...... for some of the packages, in order to get the most current version. I may have used the wrong ftp folder on one of the them. Is ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-5-stable/ or using "pkg_add -r" the most current packages for ver. 5.4? If so, I think I will just start over with a clean install. Thanks for help. Craig
