I want to be able to, say, load a 7 cdrom tower (nothing but scsci cdroms, all chained, with an external scsi port) with cds, then play direct from there. Basically, I want a jukebox. Although I may try the mod port. "This turns apache into your basic RIAA hating, but every college student loving mp3 streaming server. It can play from a list of files, either straight through or randomly. It can also be used to cache mp3's into memory and have the server operate entirely from memory. Enjoy, groove, mp3s not included." Specifically, what you'd have to do is convert your CD collection to MP3, and then you could set up as many streams as you wanted, and players like winamp/xmms could then listen to those streams. Conversion to mp3 would be a slight hassle, but it would allow you to keep more than one cd on the system at a time, so it's a tradeoff. mod_mp3 is in the ports. - Jeff To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
