The following reply was made to PR ports/132391; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Thomas Zander <riggs@rrr.de> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, redchin@gmail.com Cc: Subject: Re: ports/132391: multimedia/mplayer does not work with pulseaudio Date: Sat, 25 Apr 2009 09:13:19 +0200 Well, large pieces of code of unknown origin are certainly something that we should not accept without asking. If it's a totally trivial and obvious one-liner that may be different. Of course the best option in my opinion would be to check whether pulseaudio works in a recent svn snapshot of mplayer's source tree and then backport the patch that enables pulseaudio to work. Maybe that's even where your patch originally came from or it's now part of the official mplayer source. Would you be willing to check this? TIA Riggs
