Thanks a lot.  As I often due, I'm starting it on the command
line and working on a simple command lin frame capture program
that seems to be out of sync.  I'll quit putting this off and
solve it once and for all.  I'm sure there is a conflict and
I couldn't ask for better bases to start from.
