|I don't see why X won't see the app-default file. It finds all the others in
|the system app-defaults directory. (I'm not mucking with the default X
|settings at all.)
So do I infer correctly that you tried these settings and it's not finding
your "Fxtv" app-default file? Where did you put your app-default file?
Did you call it Fxtv?

appres Fxtv
|Do you have a pointer to the doc for the Bt848 chipset? I'd like to try
|poking the card at a lower level to see if I can figure out what's going
|on. Maybe it's something specific to the card I have.
