i know that the X window system is compatible with FreeBSD...but i was wondering if that means you can run any standard run-of-the-mills X application on X windows and not having to recompile it....i know you have to do that with some linux applications, but i was wondering if the X windows system would run an application without any other means of changing the source code or messing around with it...
