What is standing in the way of this coming to base?  I have only skimmed the
driver and don't have a clear sense of if it has any quality issues.  I know
that this NIC is extremely popular in home and small business deployments d=
ue
to its low price and wide availability.  While it may not be an enduring
presence in the 10GbE space, it's definitely relevant in the present moment,
and if there's any way I can help, I'd like to.
