I think I have an idea but would like the opinion of someone a bit more knowledgeable than I. wd3: reverting to PIO mode reading fsbn 0 (status 51 error 84) Here is, what I believe to be, the relevant information from dmesg: ====== > wdc0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7 irq 14 flags 0xa0ffa0ff on isa > wdc0: unit 0 (wd0): , DMA, 32-bit, multi-block-16 > wd0: 1888MB (3866940 sectors), 4092 cyls, 15 heads, 63 S/T, 512 B/S > wdc0: unit 1 (atapi): , removable, intr, dma, iordis > acd0: drive speed 1377KB/sec, 256KB cache > acd0: supported read types: CD-DA > acd0: Audio: play, 255 volume levels > acd0: Mechanism: ejectable tray > acd0: Medium: no/blank disc inside, unlocked > wdc1 at 0x170-0x177 irq 15 flags 0xa0ffa0ff on isa > wdc1: unit 0 (wd2): , DMA, 32-bit, multi-block-32 > wd2: 5006MB (10253250 sectors), 10850 cyls, 15 heads, 63 S/T, 512 B/S > wdc1: unit 1 (wd3): , DMA, 32-bit, multi-block-16 > wd3: 9787MB (20044080 sectors), 19885 cyls, 16 heads, 63 S/T, 512 B/S ====== Also, I just noticed that wd0 is listed as 1888 MB in size. It's actual a 6400MB drive, and is being used as such by vinum, should I worry about this at all? (it used to be reported properly). thanks, Chris To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
