I solved it by booting from the kernel-floppy and pressing immediately space. At the prompt, I entered wd(0,a)/boot/loader and the kernel booted. Then I reconfigured the boot0-manager by entering: boot0cfg -o packet /dev/rwd0 (actually I used rad0 since I'm running -CURRENT). That worked for me.
