The following reply was made to PR ports/133421; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Mark Linimon <linimon@lonesome.com> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: ports/133421: [NEW PORT] java/eclipse-xsd: EMF-XSD Runtime Date: Wed, 13 May 2009 11:50:22 -0500 ----- Forwarded message from Heiner Strauß <heiner_ej@yahoo.de> ----- Subject: Re: ports/133421: [NEW PORT] java/eclipse-xsd: EMF-XSD Runtime From: Heiner Strauß <heiner_ej@yahoo.de> To: linimon@FreeBSD.org our eclipse-xsd includes also the the development kits of xsd, emf and a third plugin. They are big (>50 MB) and not necessary for the Webtool Platform WTP. So my proposal is to get rid of the SDKs and concentrate on the 2 runtimes. If someone really needs the SDKs , its always possible to get them via eclipse update. Our current eclipse-xsd doesn't work on eclipse 3.4.1. at least with my installation. I had the impression, this big bundle isn't supported by the eclipse developers anymore. I wasn't able to update it via eclipse and therefor never got a working WTP on FreeBSD. Greetings, Heiner ----- End forwarded message -----
