The xl driver detects the card, however the link never seems to come up (link status lights off, "no carrier" in ifconfig). I swapped cables (using known ones which worked) & made sure that the card was properly inserted several times; no luck :-( Netbooting FreeBSD 4.7 pre-release at a friend's place seemed to make it work, however even upgrading the xl driver sources to 4.7 version and recompiling the kernel did not work. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? I have attached the output of dmesg, pciconf -l and ifconfig for your perusal... (I'm not subscribed to this list, so would appreciate you copying your replies via this email-id) Thanks in advance, Dinesh ------=_NextPart_000_002B_01C25F06.A9FE6820 Content-Type: text/plain; name="ifconfig.txt" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="ifconfig.txt" xl0: flags=3D8802 mtu 1500=0A= options=3D3=0A= ether 00:04:76:51:33:34=0A= media: Ethernet autoselect (none)=0A= status: no carrier=0A= ------=_NextPart_000_002B_01C25F06.A9FE6820 Content-Type: text/plain; name="pciconf.txt" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="pciconf.txt" chip0@pci0:0:0: class=3D0x060000 card=3D0x00000000 chip=3D0x71908086 = rev=3D0x03 hdr=3D0x00=0A= pcib1@pci0:1:0: class=3D0x060400 card=3D0x00000000 chip=3D0x71918086 = rev=3D0x03 hdr=3D0x01=0A= pcic0@pci0:2:0: class=3D0x060700 card=3D0x01301014 chip=3D0xac1b104c = rev=3D0x03 hdr=3D0x02=0A= pcic1@pci0:2:1: class=3D0x060700 card=3D0x01301014 chip=3D0xac1b104c = rev=3D0x03 hdr=3D0x02=0A= xl0@pci0:3:0: class=3D0x020000 card=3D0x655610b7 chip=3D0x605610b7 = rev=3D0x20 hdr=3D0x00=0A= none0@pci0:3:1: class=3D0x078000 card=3D0x615c10b7 chip=3D0x100710b7 = rev=3D0x20 hdr=3D0x00=0A= none1@pci0:5:0: class=3D0x040100 card=3D0x01531014 chip=3D0x60031013 = rev=3D0x01 hdr=3D0x00=0A= isab0@pci0:7:0: class=3D0x068000 card=3D0x00000000 chip=3D0x71108086 = rev=3D0x02 hdr=3D0x00=0A= atapci0@pci0:7:1: class=3D0x010180 card=3D0x00000000 chip=3D0x71118086 = rev=3D0x01 hdr=3D0x00=0A= uhci0@pci0:7:2: class=3D0x0c0300 card=3D0x00000000 chip=3D0x71128086 = rev=3D0x01 hdr=3D0x00=0A= chip1@pci0:7:3: class=3D0x068000 card=3D0x00000000 chip=3D0x71138086 = rev=3D0x03 hdr=3D0x00=0A= none2@pci1:0:0: class=3D0x030000 card=3D0x01551014 chip=3D0x4c461002 = rev=3D0x02 hdr=3D0x00=0A= ------=_NextPart_000_002B_01C25F06.A9FE6820 Content-Type: text/plain; name="dmesg.txt" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="dmesg.txt" Copyright (c) 1992-2002 The FreeBSD Project.
