I encourage everyone to install this from scratch, and blow away your old system. The reason is that we want to get rid of all the old toolchain cruft that you may still have, from before the gcc3.1 import. Also, for various reasons there can be difficulties building world from the older -current snapshots. Note that this contains the UFS2 code which was committed recently. If you are so inclined you can create UFS2 filesystems with newfs -O 2. The bootblock has been updated with UFS2 support, so you can boot from either UFS1 or UFS2. See the -current mailing list archives for details about UFS2. This is probably the last snapshot I will make before 5.0-DP2, since you can now update your system with make buildworld. Please remember that this is 5.0-CURRENT. If you intend to buildworld often you are expected to read the cvs-all and freebsd-current mailing lists. See the "tracking -current" section in the handbook. The snapshot is in the usual place in my homedir on freefall: http://people.freebsd.org/~jake/sparc64/ Have fun.
