I have a two machines on a LAN, one = Win98 and=20 the other FreeBSD 3.0

I have the BSD box set up as the = gateway to my=20 ISP and PPP set to -auto

This all works fine (PPP dials out = and the=20 connection works fine on both machines.)

My problem is this:  Windows 98 = generates=20 packets all the time which makes the BSD box dial out and stay online=20 forever.  (I only have one phone line.)  I know it's not the = BSD box,=20 because when the Win machine isn't connected, the connection is made = only when I=20 request it. (After I killed sendmail -q ;-)
I realize that this is a Windoze = problem, but I=20 am hoping that someone out there has discovered a solution to = this.
