It looks like you do not have the latest revision of devel/git:

$FreeBSD: ports/devel/git/Makefile,v 1.112 2011/09/10 01:56:16 wxs Exp $

which adds some alternative mirrors while kernel.org conduct an audit
following the recent security breach there.
