--=====================_944682688==_ Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Introduction Hi, I just purchased Freebsd 3.3 (because I installed Freebsd 227 then I migrated to SuSe Linux then Linux Redhat 6.0 now back where I started with Freebsd.) RH6 is useless. If I want an unstable and differcult Operating System that I spend half mine time fixing problems I would have stuck with Windows. Situation Running Freebsd 3.3 with the difult Gnome Question Why do I get these error messages in /var/log/messages and how to I solve the problem? (I did "tail -f /var/log/messages >> somefile" then attached somefile to make it easier for people to read) --=====================_944682688==_ Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="tailf-messages" Dec 10 04:43:48 fraud /kernel: npx0 on motherboard Dec 10 04:43:48 fraud /kernel: npx0: INT 16 interface Dec 10 04:43:48 fraud /kernel: Intel Pentium detected, installing workaround for F00F bug Dec 10 04:43:48 fraud /kernel: changing root device to wd0s2a Dec 10 04:45:20 fraud /kernel: pid 284 (gmailman), uid 1000: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) Dec 10 04:47:38 fraud /kernel: pid 348 (screensaver-prop), uid 1000: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) Dec 10 04:47:59 fraud /kernel: pid 300 (gnome-session), uid 1000: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) Dec 10 04:47:59 fraud /kernel: pid 328 (gen_util_applet), uid 1000: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) Dec 10 04:47:59 fraud /kernel: pid 351 (screensaver-prop), uid 1000: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) Dec 10 04:47:59 fraud /kernel: pid 337 (gnomecc), uid 1000: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) --=====================_944682688==_-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
