I have a Realtek PCI card, which is a NE2000 clone. And putting 'device ed' in my kernel config does not work. However I have no problem when using 'device ed0 at isa? ...' I don't remember where I read about this, but it was mentioned somewhere (perhaps in the mailing list archives?)
