i am a freebsd gnome 2.10 user. something changed in 2.10, and i can't even find the best place to ask about it. in gnome 2.8, i used to have a hierarchy of folders with launchers in them, and the top folder was in the panel right next to the main menu foot. i put it there by putting it in the folder named <applications:///>. but in 2.10, i seem unable to get the file browser to go to the uri <applications:///>. i am told "applications:///" is not a valid location by a popup. i suspect that this is the core problem. i read the user's guide on panels, menus, etc, and got no help <http://www.gnome.org/learn/users-guide/2.10/ch02s02.html#gosoverview-4>. i can no longer seem to do this. any clues? any clues on where i might ask? thanks! randy
