You might need to re-think your uninteruptable power supply (UPS)
strategy if you run FreeBSD. 8-)

After 160 days of continuous uptime an internet connected server of mine
running FreeBSD was rebooted, or more exactly lost power, due to a UPS
failure.  The power had not gone out, but the UPS apparently failed in a
way in which it chose to cut the power off to the computer.
