I'm attempting to set up automatic shutdown on my ISP's FreeBSD servers when the power runs out on our UPS. The only suitable daemons I could find for the task are powerd and upsd, both intended for use with Linux. The problem I run into is that Linux has /etc/inittab and FreeBSD does not. I'm sure there's got to either be a FreeBSD version of upsd out there, or at the very least a BSD equivelent of inittab so that I can hack the daemon.. can anyone help me with this?
