So I would like to know how "advisable" it is to run -CURRENT for a not-too-experienced user. I know that, by definition, it is the development branch, and therefore isn't as stable as the -RELEASE code. But can you currently use it on your main (single :)) work machine without any fear/problems? Is it similar to running the latter 2.3.x Linux kernels? Thank you for any tip! Bye, Joane Lispton PS: Not meaning to stress the list with repeated questions, I would like to ask about two specific issues: APM and support for sound. Specially about APM, I have read that it does work but used to cause some problems when exiting XFree86; is this still so? About support for the CS4618/24 soundcard: I read that the owner of a T22 (which uses the same chipset) made it work; has anyone else tried using sound with a T2?? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
