https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D274889 Bug ID: 274889 Summary: devel/py-setuptools_scm7: conflicts with devel/py-setuptools_scm Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: jcfyecrayz@liamekaens.com CC: matthew@FreeBSD.org, python@FreeBSD.org CC: matthew@FreeBSD.org, python@FreeBSD.org devel/py-setuptools_scm and devel/py-setuptools_scm7 conflict. This can result in cases where one cannot install some ports (if a port that has a run-time dependency on a conflicting py-setuptools_scm is already installed). For example, x11-toolkits/py-python-xlib and devel/py-hatch-vcs are two por= ts that have the conflicting dependencies. The former was just updated to dep= end on devel/py-setuptools_scm7. py-python-xlib only has a build-time dependen= cy on py-setuptools_scm7, so that's not a case that prevents installing the po= rt.=20 It only prevents building it in a tree that has py-setuptools_scm already installed. You can work around that by building py-python-xlib in isolation (e.g., in poudriere). --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
