I just configured a noname internal modem as com3/sio2 with jumpers at
0x3e8 irq 11
and it works fine and leaves me with com1/sio0 for my mouse and
com2/sio1 free :-)
Maybe I was lucky because this piece of #@!"hardware" had jumpers, if it
hadn't
who knows?
