Are you running an Athlon board? I'm not sure how many issues involving the UDMA and VIA chipset were cleared up between 4.1 and 4.1.1, but there was a lot of cleanup between 4.0 and 4.1 :). I'm in the middle up updating to 4.1.1 now...I havent had any problems, with exception of the UDMA write errors every now and then. Hopefully this will clear them up some more :) HTH, -------------------------------------------------------- | Daryl Chance | I have made this letter longer then | | Valuedata, LLC | usual because I lacked the time to | | Memphis, TN | make it shorter. -- Blaise Pascal | -------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Aras Vaichas" To: "freebsd questions" Sent: Thursday, October 12, 2000 4:59 AM Subject: UDMA harddrive problems in 4.1.1. > During startup I get these problems.
