I ejected the card from the card slot and saw two devices cuad4 and
ttyd4. I then tried changing the device in the /etc/ppp/peers/cingular
file to /dev/ttyd4 and running 'pppd call cingular' now makes a call but
it hangs up immediately. I will post the output from /var/log/messages
below.

I tried changing the device to /dev/cuad4 as well and got the same results.

Jan 13 20:44:13 xtop sudo:    cross : TTY=ttyp2 ; PWD=/usr/home/cross ;
USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/sbin/pppd call cingular

The /var/log/debug.log had the following output when trying to make the
connection:

If anyone can give me some guidance or reference materials for setting
up pppd or pppd with this cellular card specifically, I would greatly
appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Jeff Cross
