if you are getting your static ip-address from the dhcp server,
it will just work. if not you will need something like this in your
/etc/rc.conf:

ifconfig_fxp0=3D"inet 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0"
defaultrouter=3D"192.168.1.1"
