But I believe it is not the right way to fix since the code in net/ directory (generic network layer) should not call specific protocol layer (e.g. netinet/) directly, which the patch does. I've just begin to use -current this week (because of VMware:-), and no knowledge about philosophy or policy around detaching interface yet..
