I do use this connection with Win95, but I would like to set up FreeBSD too. So far I have not managed this problem, and I do not get support from my "provider" (my university) because "they only support the normal conncetion with Microsoft machines". The University uses what seems to be the "normal" kind of connection. At the client side you just have to choose the Microsoft TCPIP and then only choose out the host and domain by name (not by adress), and DNS activated should be set. So all adresses are "unknown" before connection. Do somebody know how to set up a connection like this with FreeBSD. I can log in on the server and get the big PPP, but nothing seems to work (though I get the adresses between me and the server) , what also seems to me as reasonable, as nameserver and gateway are unknown. Can You help me ? Please return ASAP!
