I tried: openlog("Logtest", LOG_PERROR | LOG_PID, LOG_USER); setlogmask(LOG_UPTO(LOG_DEBUG)); syslog(LOG_DEBUG, "Debug message"); closelog(); but this doesn't work. All messages with priorities below LOG_WARNING (LOG_INFO, LOG_DEBUG) are not accepted by the syslog.
