I did not succeded to set-up user PPP,I have written the following
files:
/etc/ppp/ppp.conf
default:
set device /dev/cuaa0
set speed 115200
set dial "ABORT BUSY ABORT NO\\sCARRIER TIMEOUT 5 \"\"ATE1q0
OK-AT-OK \\dATDT\\T TIMEOUT 40
CONNECT"
ISP
set phone kkkkkk
set login "TIMEOUT 5 login:-\\r-login:xxxxx word:yyyyy
set timeout 120
set ifaddr 0 0
/etc/ppp/ppp.linkup
MY ADDR
delete )
add 0 0 HISADDR
when attempting a connection I get the following statements;
warning:set login"TIMEOUT:invalid command
warning:set login"TIMEOUT:Failed 1
Dial attempt 1 of 1
Phone xxxxx
Warning:Dial Modem:dial failed
ppp.on
I have also tried to subscribe unsuccesfully to freebsd mailing list as
I keep on getting back the auth message that I sent in.
Is it possible that this is the fault of Netscape mailer I am using?
As I am an absolute beginner please do not be ashamed to state the
obvious.Any help will be greatly appreciated
