suppose, that it might be some option set or not set for ZFS during install:
whatever leftovers are on all 11 disks, use chosen 3 only, for e.g., never
touch the other 8 disks, just be withing given 3 disks.

May ZFS automatically search all disks for volumes? It should be switched o=
ff
then.
