Well, Doug White asked for documentation. When it comes to the Gigabit Ethernet, I believe the IEEE standards are about as authoritative as you can get. If you check the specs for some of the Intel Gigabit Ethernet cards, e.g. http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/resources/doc_library/data_sheets/pro1000gt_da.pdf you'll see that they refer to 100base-TX, but 1000base-T. So I stand by my claim that 1000base-T is clearly more correct than 1000baseTX. It would be nice to get this fixed - however, it is a minor point and I certainly believe that there are other tasks that are more important. Steinar Haug, Nethelp consulting, sthaug@nethelp.no
