You're mudding up things. You want to set LOCALBASE to /usr/foo and ports should be "PREFIX" clean as that is what is passed to them. LOCALBASE is used as the default value for PREFIX _AND_ the location for dependencies. Thus when testing a port that depends on tk, I can do make PREFIX=/tmp/foo package And not have to install Tcl/Tk in /tmp/foo also.
