Or proxied system calls, or other use of system specific manifest
constants from header files.

I would be very happy to see FreeBSD adopt manifest values for
POSIX (and in some cases, extended) ioctl/fcntl/etc. arguments
that were identical to the IABI values (Intel UNIX, Solaris, UnixWare).
