Trying to start up pppd, via a couple of scripts, it talks to the modem
but then I get this in the log file?

Feb  3 10:49:12 ruby pppd[280]: pppd 2.2.0 started by robert, uid 0
Feb  3 10:49:12 ruby pppd[280]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/cuaa0
Feb  3 10:49:13 ruby pppd[280]: Serial line is looped back.
Feb  3 10:49:13 ruby pppd[280]: Connection terminated.

any ideas?
