Of course apsfilter is great, it even has "input detection" and automatic conversion for files to print, like % lpr holiday.jpg and "pretty printing" with syntax highlighting for sources, like % lpr excellent.c But if you feed PS to a PS printer, apsfilter might be too much overhead.
