The following reply was made to PR ports/163901; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Nikola Lecic <nikola.lecic@anthesphoria.net> To: Buganini <buganini@gmail.com> Cc: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: ports/163901: [Maintainer] textproc/ibus-table: Update to 1.3.9.20110827, adjust for ibus-1.4.0 Date: Sun, 8 Jan 2012 16:00:25 +0300 On Sun, Jan 08, 2012 at 03:38:04PM +0800 in <CAC_-zwdcn=Zp4BprWSAXvUiTwa8voibvnv77OvyC=_Zp9QXseg@mail.gmail.com> Buganini <buganini@gmail.com> wrote: > Here is another approach, with modifying of bsd.port.mk > http://www.cnmc.tw/~buganini/bsd.port.mk.patch.txt > and using > LIB_DEPENDS=sqlite3.8@loadExt:${PORTSDIR}/databases/sqlite3 I don't think this is a good idea because *_DEPENDS mechanism is supposed to provide *building* of non-installed dependencies and not just to stop the process. Since currently there is no way to *force* a port to rebuild with a different set of options, creating of slave port remains the only "official" approach, which guarantees that everything gets built, as far as I can see. (Anyway, you should submit this as a separate PR.) -- Nikola Lecic fingerprint : FEF3 66AF C90E EDC3 D878 7CDC 956D F4AB A377 1C9B ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
